It was an Igbo towns meeting and they spoke Igbo throughout, so I didn't understand what they were talking about.
The chief, however, is a very charismatic person from what I could tell.
And then after talking for a while and responding to a few questions, he went into a 20 minute preaching session encouraging people present to accept Christ.
His final words in English were and I quote:
"The highest thing you can do for yourself is to accept Christ".
What a night it turned out to be - all praise to God.
