Originating in Manchester and making it's way around the UK in cities such as Brighton, Bristol and now residing in London; Rotation Policy aims to put together a blend of truly talented DJs/selectors with an up-for-it and unprotentious crowd.

join forces with upcoming duo for a takeover of upstairs space for a night of soulful selections and infectious rhythms. All are welcome!

With such shared passion for flavourful dance music, it only makes sense for them to team up to lay down the music at Jago's warm and homey upstairs space.

The music will be eclectic, spanning Disco, Jazz, Broken Beat, Garage, House (90s, deep, chicago, breakbeat, soulful) Funk + more!

March 6th // Rotation Policy w/Alex Rita (Touching Bass)

We are delighted to announce Alex Rita will be joining us for the next edition of Rotation Policy at Grow Hackney.

Alex Rita, and her partner Errol Anderson, run Touching Bass together, a South London-rooted creative hub that has grown over much of the last decade into a beloved club night, record label, concert series and regular NTS Radio show known for its rich musical breadth and community-driven ethos.

Her work with Touching Bass puts community at the centre, celebrating music that moves body and spirit across jazz, broken beat, soul and club rhythms with deep feeling.

A truly special night of expansive music and communal atmosphere.

TOMORROW NIGHT! We have our annual ALL NIGHT LONG session at , as part of their Join in Jan series. All events there in January are free entry all night, giving people a chance to get down without putting more strain on the bank balance post Xmas.

The club is always rocking for these parties and we are grateful to be invited back to do these extended sessions year on year. Big thank you to grow and we hope to see you on the dancefloor!

Unbelievable night at .ldn yesterday. This one has always been a bucket list event for us. Antal is amongst our top musical influences, and bringing him to a club with such a unique atmosphere, ethos and unmatched production was a real honour.

This December sees Antal making his FOLD debut, in a rare daytime edition of Rotation Policy.

As co-founder of the influential Dutch label, Rush Hour, the self-described ‘musicologist’ has led the curation of dance floor experiences for the best part of 30 years now, helping to redefine the world’s view of Amsterdam’s music culture.

Truly ‘genre-defying’, where the phrase has begun to show its age, Antal does not; leading his audiences through everything from Chicago house, Detroit techno, Brazilian funk, African soca, jazz, disco, soul, and back again, in refreshing fashion.

This is not to be missed.

Bank Holiday Party 🌞 Sat 24th 🌞 Grow Hackney

Headlining our bank holiday special is none other than Pete BBE, founder of the legendary BBE records. Pete's DJ sets are rooted in a deep love of crate-digging and musical discovery, and can span across funk, soul, disco, hip hop, house and beyond.

Come and dance with us by the canal this May Bank Holiday and celebrate timeless music, new beginnings and good company.

🎶 New RP edit (hit me up for DL)

Eddie Henderson is an American jazz-funk and fusion trumpeter known for his work with Herbie Hancock's Mwandishi band in the early 1970s. Blending jazz, funk, and electronic elements, his solo albums like Realization (1973), pictured here, became influential in the jazz-funk genre, and still hold up today on the dancefloor.

He was a trained physician as well as a musician, so we even have a few things in common!

The next Rotation Policy Edit is a minimally tweaked version of a Butterfly, a track from his 1978 album Mahal. It is a track which has been unaffected by the passing of time and is effortlessly funky and cosmic in equal measures. Our version simply adds repetition and tightening of the drum section to make it more accessible for the modern DJ, and gives a more locked in groove for the dancefloor. Enjoy!
