It’s World Whisky Day, so here are some of our top picks!
Nolan:
1. Arran 10 Year Old Arran Barley Edition Whisky 🏴 - Spicy, ginger and biscuity. Oak forward with vanilla.
2. Ardnamurchan Whisky Golden Promise Heritage Barley Release 🏴. Highland Whisky. Chewable, oily mouthfeel. Sugared almonds, salted cashews and subtle pistachios. A gentle, creamy sweetness. Rich orange polenta cake.
Sai:
1. Thomson Manuka Wood Smoke Single Malt Whisky from New Zealand 🇳🇿Smoked with manuka wood, creating aromatic smoky notes, alongside cinnamon, clove, honey and oaky spice.
2. Dunvilles 10yo PX Single Malt Whiskey from Ireland 🇮🇪 - Stewed red fruits, candied orange and a crackle of black pepper initially, before a little mocha, custard and spice

1. Amrut Fusion Single Malt Whisky from India 🇮🇳. Oaky, rich, gentle peat, coffee, dark chocolate
2. Bruichladdich Port Charlotte PMC: 01 Pomerol Cask Whisky 🏴. Malt sugar and peat smoke with succulent blackberries, plum and aged leather.
Imogen:
Torabhaig Taigh from Skye 🏴. soft smoke wrapped in vanilla custard, toasted almond and sweet dried fruits, all carried on a smooth, oily texture.
