Our Story

A Cocktail Bar, Lounge & Club open in Kingston-Upon-Thames. As part of the Kingston Riverside development by Kingston Bridge, The Viper Rooms sits fittingly alongside Kingston’s newly developed glass-walled, al-fresco restaurants and bars. The venue, is part of a £2 million roll-out of the Viper Rooms across the UK. The Harewood Group own and operate two other successful Viper Rooms in Sheffield and Harrogate. Paul Kinsey, owner of the Harewood Group, commented; “We have spent a great deal of time consulting the local community and have developed the Viper Rooms to directly meet customer desires and passions as well as the changing demographic of the region. Kingston Council has a policy to encourage upscale housing and retail. The Viper Rooms development is an integral and welcomed part of that development targeting a range of executives and young professionals who are looking for the glamour and style associated with the Riverside development. It’s an exciting time for Kingston and we are developing the venue in line with the current market. The venue provides an all-encompassing Bar, Cocktail Lounge and Late Club experience dedicated to providing a professional but friendly service. Created with decadence, excess and indulgent pleasures in mind, The Viper Rooms is a unique playground for the extravagant, exuding class and style without pretentiousness. Exclusively for everyone, The Viper Rooms is the destination for those who like to party and where everyone’s a star! The Viper Rooms features bespoke interior design including cutting-edge digital-wall graphics, LED ceiling and wall lighting panels, lavish booth seating with illuminated tables and a bespoke sound system. Central to the design is a suspended DJ cage where the DJ will perform above the ‘Viper Club’ dance floor. The venue’s lounge and terrace will provide customers with spectacular views of the River Thames where they can enjoy cocktails & mocktails chosen from the extensive freshly made range on offer. Inspired by the downtown chic of SoHo New York, The Viper Rooms takes late night lounge culture to the next level with 3 rooms and a stunning terrace over-looking the river Thames. The emphasis is on creating a relaxed, unpretentious and fun atmosphere. The Viper Rooms features 4 areas. The first room, The ‘Viper Lounge’, will feature a cool and industrially styled bar area with corrugated iron cladding, stripped back-metal work, exposed concrete walls and intelligent lighting. Stylish booths and podiums will surround the area overlooking the Thames through floor to ceiling windows. The sound of The ‘Viper Lounge’ will be classic house & RnB, Funk, and soul & disco. The second room, The ‘Viper Club’ will become a stylish contemporary clubroom with a large VIP area hosting over 15 VIP Tables and Luxury Booths. Serviced by waitresses and VIP hosts, these can be pre-booked for special occasions based on a minimum spend. Stunning and contemporary booth seating and poseur tables surround the space. The DJ will be suspended in a cage that overlooks the dance floor which features LED wall panels. The decor will have a contemporary feel with concrete pillars clad with metal caging and ambient backlighting. The ‘Bourbon Rooms’ Bar will have a traditional old school New York feel. Luxurious, comforting and glowing with sophistication, the bar will feature a familiar soundtrack of Motown and classic soul. All rooms have a link to each other and to the open-air riverside terrace that offers an al-fresco bar experience overlooking the Thames. The Viper Rooms aims to provide an all-encompassing Bar, Cocktail Lounge and Late Club experience dedicated to providing a professional but friendly service. Plans include a champagne bar, cocktail bar, bottle to table service with a focus on service excellence.
