The Secret Psych Disco Club is a collective of local DJs / Musicians / Producers from in and around the City, the concept for this event is born out of a passion for dance music across the spectrum, all DJs bring something different to the table covering a wide spectrum of sounds from their musical roots. Expect self immersive cross pollinated grooves from across the genres; there’s something for everyone embedded into our eclectic soundscape whatever your musical taste, all under a common groove. As dance music evolves over the decades our selected grooves touch upon the legacy sounds & roots from a bygone era with a modern twist.

Ben Horne (Funked Up®)
Prolific record collector with vast knowledge of Legacy house and dance music from across the pond and in the UK, expect golden groove nuggets from across the decade (1981-89) from the likes of the paradise garage scene in New York through to the emergence of the global phenomenon what is now called House Music, all seamlessly mixed with modern neo classics that embrace the DNA of the soundscape of this decade.
Shaun Stenton (Funked Up®)(Cartel Record®)
Aka: “Sten La’Ren”
Is no stranger to the studio and is self taught studio engineer and producer. Having spent time as a session musician and time involved supporting local bands with his keyboard wizardry, historically he has released music on his own label Cartel Records & was signed to Paris DJs labels under the guise of the βeta Club in collaboration with professional musicians from L.A., New York, London and Paris. Following his passion for dance music he contributes regularly to other House Music orientated projects through his networks. He draws heavy influences from 60s -70s Psych / Funk / Soul & Rare Groove that you’ll hear embedded into his production, defining his own signature sound with a modern twist. His vast knowledge of multiple music scenes we can expect genre bending cosmic selections with the inclusion of some of his own production to keep the dance floor moving.
Mark Smith (Funked Up®)
Aka: “Smithy”
An eclectic record collector with a vast spectrum of knowledge across the decades of African / Jamaican / Brazilian dance vibes, drawing influences from Afro Beat to BlueNote Jazz ensembles. He is noted for his obscure Rare Groove floor fillers and modern oddities with a fusion of Rhythmic Afrobeat / Hip Hop / Reggae / Broken Beat / Rare Groove / Nu Jazz & Soulful Grooves, enveloping the dance floor with his subversive modern sub culture sound.
Jay Meek (Diversion®)
A visionary collector of records, Jays wealth of dance music knowledge is backed up by his wall of vinyl collection and his time served dedication following the Dance Music Scene as well as being a veteran of Coventry’s Dance Music Scene, his spectrum of genres spans decades of influences, expect to be entranced by his selections drawing upon influences with the likes of Funk /Break Beat/ HIP Hop / House & Lounge Grooves as he takes us all on an celestial journey into his immersive thought provoking sounds.
