Get to Know: Kenna 💥

Kenna brings his dark, cinematic DnB sound to The Crown on 16th April for Club Eight 002, and he's got a ridiculous amount of music ready to unleash.

He's been building serious momentum over the past year, with things properly clicking into place around late 2024. Finding his sound took time, but once he got it where he was happy with it, things started falling into place.

His productions lean dark and weighty, chasing that cinematic feel that makes DnB more than just a drop. Expect heavy dubs with a few curveballs thrown in when he steps up 👀

Enchanted garden journeys, drag rave freakery, deep bass explorations - your week at The Crown 👑

Open decks start us off Monday, then DubRadio's Basement Bash brings garage & house Tuesday. Aphrodite's Enchanted Garden takes you on a multi-genre journey Wednesday - piano house & breakbeat opening into hardcore, jungle, footwork, donk, then hard techno to close. Fractal's Oscillate delivers sub-heavy DnB & jungle exploration Thursday, before The Faggatoir's Swarm brings drag rave theatrics Friday with techno, donk & hard dance from resident creepy crawlies. Ramp Up close out Saturday with the finest in DnB & jungle - free before 11pm.

No More All Male Lineups bring FLINTA talent including Betsy Mae on the 5th with an extended 4AM finish 💜 Fractal bring Oscillate with No Nation heading up a deep DnB & jungle session on the 9th, before Harder Than House return on the 17th with Matter, dontforgettogohome & Borai 🔥

DRESS CODE UPDATE 🤵🏻

Due to the ongoing rise of baggy jeans in the venue, from today we'll be implementing a strict black tie dress code.

Anyone attempting to enter the venue without a black suit, white shirt & black tie will be refused entry from security, or asked to wear a suit from lost property.

Get To Know: SIS:DEM 🎛️

From hosting after-parties and taking photos to hitting stages at Glastonbury and Boomtown, SIS:DEM have had a proper rise over the last few years.

They first brought their 'Curates' series to The Crown basement a year ago and they’re back this Saturday for a free-entry Easter shubs spanning hardcore, 140, jungle + more.

The trio refuse to be boxed into one sound, thriving on the confidence they give each other to play exactly what they want. Whether they're sharing stages with the likes of Mike Skinner and Yung Singh or bringing their silly energy to the booth with random signs and inflatables, it’s all about connecting with the crowd.

Get To Know: NMAMLU 🎛️

No More All Male Lineups started after a DnB day party in Bristol last year announced over 30 DJs—with only one or two women on the lineup. That was the moment they decided to do something about it.

Since then, they've been giving FLINTA DJs their first opportunities at major venues and festivals, while calling out the tired "we book based on talent" excuse. They're making sure lineups actually reflect the scene, not just tick a box with a token B2B opener.

They return to The Crown on Sunday 5th April with Aerial, I Am Nomadika, Jano, Turbo K, Sha and more.

Open decks kick us off Monday, then Easy Company take over both rooms Tuesday with a bass scene showcase. Meal Deal's Hungry Games brings the multi-genre party Wednesday, before Charged Audio's Rhythm Revolution delivers underground DnB Thursday. Get Weird make their Crown debut Friday with experimental UK bass, groovy electro, baile funk & wobbly dubstep, and Saturday closes out with Creatures Curates' full spectrum DnB from minimal to rollers.

Tuesday brings System Killa Sounds x Hexo's St Patrick's Day party with Betsy Mae's footwork bounce and jungle heat - free entry, two rooms of dubstep, garage, hardgroove & jungle. Wednesday sees PSF vs Prognosis team up for 140, bassline, jungle & hardcore. Thursday brings Templates' Weekday Wobblers DnB special.

Monday kicks off with free entry open decks. Tuesday brings Room2Sessions' Bristol debut with an Invicta Audio takeover. Obscure's debut party on Wednesday serves hypnotic tech house & bumpy garage. Thursday delivers ritual drums with hardcore, jungle & breaks powered by Selective Soundsystem.

Friday sees Dub Mantra invites Senshi with a heavyweight lineup, and Ramp Up wraps things up on Saturday with the finest in drum & bass and jungle.

Dub Mantra bring Senshi alongside TEXT and a heavyweight support lineup, plus we're closing out the month with Kinematic Sound's free entry CTRL + GROOVE session spanning house, UKG, 140, jungle and DnB 🫡
