The hospitality sector has come together to launch – a united campaign and petition calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.

Spearheaded by chef and publican Tom Kerridge, we’re working alongside trade bodies across the sector, such as and , hospitality communities like , and you, businesses across hospitality, to say 10% VAT is fair for hospitality.

Our sector pays too much tax, and VAT is the single biggest lever the Government can pull to support venues, our customers, our high streets and our local communities.

This campaign is for everyone: businesses, customers, waiting staff, chefs, kitchen porters, bar staff, hotel teams, farmers, brewers, suppliers and producers.

What a night launch Best Bar None Bolton 2026 🙌

Bringing together the very best of Bolton’s hospitality scene, the launch wasn’t just about showcasing a scheme that promotes safer, better run venues it was about celebrating everything that makes the town’s nightlife special.

From the moment doors opened, the energy felt different. A real mix of operators, teams, and familiar faces all in one room, connecting, sharing ideas, and setting the tone for what’s shaping up to be a big year ahead.

But just when you thought it couldn’t get any better… the night took a turn 😄

The guys from Disco Bingo stepped in and completely took over the party bringing that high energy, interactive twist that turned the event into something unforgettable. Music, laughs, games, and a packed dancefloor… not your typical launch night at all.

It was fun, it was different, and it perfectly captured what Best Bar None is all about community, positivity, and raising the bar for the night-time economy.
