Harlequins Elite is a Cabaret group - a non profit organisation. It has recently undergone a name change and some of you may remember it's predecessor 'Harlequins'. Carol Levey is one of the co-producers and has been in the 'biz' and part of the Harlequins for over 40 years and has performed all over Spain as a talented vocalist, dancer and choreographer. Her co-producer partner is Dawn Blythe who
has been a part of the group for 20 years and is a dancer and also writer. She has written the current cabaret show 'Virgin on the Ridiculous' whereby the talented flight crew create a sparkling evening of song and dance. It took several years of hard work but well worth the wait as the show is clever and quirky and takes the audience on a whistle stop tour of the USA with anthemic songs, high quality costumes, high kicking dance routines and a lot of laughs. So this page has 2 main objectives.....
Firstly to promote their shows as you can book the fabulous Harlequin Elite to create a fun night to raise money for favourite charity. The group are non-profit making. If you are part of an association such as the Lions or U3A - Harlequins Elite can work with you to develop an event to bring your members together and raise funds for a charity of your choice or theirs. If you own/run a restaurant or hotel or venue then again Harlequins Elite would love to hear from you too. They can put on a show at your establishment in conjunction with a meal and then develop a fun and very worthy night of entertainment. If you would like to book the cabaret please either contact us on this page or email [email protected]. Secondly Carol, Dawn and the crew are looking for more members to join in the fun and bring new ideas and talents. The group meets once a week usually at the Gran Sol in Calpe to socialise, learn routines & work on their shows. People come along for various reasons - to make new friends, explore interests, develop new skills. So whatever your forte there is room for you - not only singing and dancing but also promotions, publicity, making and sourcing costumes, organising raffles at events, meeting and greeting the audience. So the scope for fun and involvement is vast. For more details send us a message via this page. So if you would like to put a tentative toe in the water the group will reconvene on the first Tues in September 7.30pm at The Gran Sol Hotel in Calpe. Carol and Dawn will be there to welcome you and find out what you like doing and how you might like to be involved. September will also see the start of rehearsals for their new show which is in the latter stages of development - Hi De Hi "Hello Campers" which is looking like another night of fun, friendship and hilarity.
