Woman Pleads Guilty To Two Murders
Nassau, Bahamas- A woman with ties to the Mad Ass Gang has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for her roles into two gang related murders.
Marquella Dean, 24, who received the sentence in a plea bargain, faced between 30 to 60 years behind bars had she gone to trial.
Dean played a key role in a triple shooting that seriously injured a four-year-old boy, Anton Davis and left Dario Dawkins dead.
On August 24, 2023, the victims were in front of a home on Rupert Dean Lane when a car driven by Dean pulled up and stopped. Three masked gunmen got out of the vehicle and opened fire before they returned to the car and fled the scene.
At the time of the offense, Dean was on bail for the 2018 murder of Sean Augustine and the attempted murder of Jason Campbell.
Dean was among a group of teens who approached Augustine as he sat on the wall of the Blue Hill Clinic.
Augustine, a member of the One Order gang, was shot by another member of the group as they chased him while he ran. Campbell was also shot.
Dean was also sentenced to 15-year terms for the attempted murders, which will be served at the same time.
