TONIGHT > Danny Rankin

Danny Rankin is a selector. He knows his records inside out — introducing tunes on the mic, giving you the context instead of just blending them together.
He plays dancehall first, with jungle, UK garage and drum & bass running through it. It comes from a real place: he grew up on reggae and jungle, and got into dancehall properly after a trip to Jamaica at 11, where he first heard soundsystem culture up close.
A lot of people know him as DJ Decoy from Kurupt FM. Tonight is the DJ behind that — someone who knows this music and where it comes from.

THIS SATURDAY AT CHINESE LAUNDRY 🧺

In the Laundry 🫧
DANNY RANKIN [UK]

From UK garage and drum & bass roots to dancehall and rave, Danny Rankin brings a distinctly UK sound to the Laundry this Saturday.

Known to many as Decoy from the BAFTA-winning People Just Do Nothing, Rankin has spent years immersed in UK club culture, from his work with Kurupt FM to appearances on Rinse FM Residency and stages including Glastonbury, Lovebox, Ibiza Rocks and Amnesia.

Now carving his own path as a multi-genre DJ, he pulls from the sounds that shaped him - garage, drum & bass, dancehall and UK rave - for sets made to move a room.

In the Cave 💫
OFF THE MAP TAKEOVER 🗺️

Sydney/Eora collective OFF THE MAP takes over the Cave, bringing together a crew built around opening the dancefloor to new artists, new sounds and new people.

At the centre is Dani , an Iraq-born, Netherlands-raised, Sydney-based DJ, producer, radio host and event organiser. His genre-blurring sets move through trance, techno and hard house, threaded with Arabic sounds, Afrobeats and UK funky - reflecting the different places and communities that have shaped him.

After parties across Sydney, a Nerve takeover in Melbourne, the official Teletech afterparty and taking the project to the Netherlands, Off The Map makes their CL debut with a stacked Cave lineup:

BÜÜL B2B VWISH
CHLOE KICKZ B2B FIN KILLAH
ELBAZ B2B JUJU
FOX BAILEY
MEZZED B2B ROURKA

Come down, find your people, and enjoy some of the best underground dance music 💫

SEPTEMBER 2026 🧺

Spring might officially be here, but we’re not calling time on our Winter Program just yet - we’re riding it all the way through to the October long weekend. ♨️

August gave us some seriously special moments - packed rooms, incredible music and the kind of dancefloors that make 4AM come around a little too quickly.

To everyone who keeps showing up, bringing your friends, backing the artists and giving these nights their energy - thank you! ❤️

Now for September >>>

We’re going in with all-night-long sessions, full venue takeovers, international guests, interstate favourites and some of the artists and crews continuing to push Sydney’s underground forward.

In an era increasingly shaped by AI, nightclubs remain inherently human spaces - music shared between people, communities built over time, and a dancefloor that only comes alive when you choose to step in 💫

Here’s what’s coming up at Chinese Laundry. Which nights are you joining us for? 👀

THIS SATURDAY AT CHINESE LAUNDRY 🧺

In the Laundry 💫
SAMURAI BREAKS [UK]

At the forefront of the UK’s 160BPM+ movement, Samurai Breaks has built a reputation for pushing fast club music beyond the usual boundaries. A DJ Mag Best Breakthrough Producer winner, he brings together breaks, jungle, bass and high-speed club sounds with a playful, unpredictable edge.

Alongside a relentless touring schedule, he runs Super Sonic B***y Bangers - his label and party series built around the heavier, stranger and more fun corners of uptempo dance music.
This Saturday, he takes over the Laundry with exactly that energy.

Joining him is Chinese Laundry resident and Dayshift co-founder BOUKI, whose UK-rooted sound pairs weighty low-end with percussive pressure, alongside MISSPECULIAR and MISS SUNSHINE.

TRPL 8 TAKEOVER

Chinese Laundry resident MIMI J brings TRPL 8 into the Cave, gathering a lineup built around deep selections, movement and the kind of club music that rewards a little curiosity.

Joining from Naarm/Melbourne is Kuzco a synth player, producer and DJ whose sound moves through ’90s UK street soul, Detroit house and UK club music. After years touring across projects including Harvey Sutherland, Middle Name Dance Band and Gordon Koang, her solo work has taken her to Pitch, Strawberry Fields and beyond, with a growing catalogue that puts her musicianship firmly at the centre.

Also joining is CASEY, a DJ, radio host and curator known for warm, deep selections spanning soulful cuts, broken beat, leftfield house, groove and R&B.

This Friday, he brings that spirit into the Laundry room!

In the Cave 💫
FASHIONABLY LATE & Friends

For this one, she’s handpicked a few of her favourite selectors to join her for a night that leans into speed, movement and proper dancefloor chaos.
