Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood cake today for my grandson’s 2nd birthday. This was an eggless chocolate mud cake with chocolate ganache. Covered in fondant, everything is edible except the name plaque and sticks holding the decorations on top.

My first cake since December! I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive about getting back into it!

This cake was to celebrate a 50th Wedding Anniversary. A simple cake to share with the family, it was a white chocolate mud cake, with a homemade raspberry coulis, and Italian meringue buttercream. Fondant butterflies, flowers, and edible gold details complete the look. (Client also added a cake topper)

I’m taking a break from cake decorating, effective immediately. This year has been really tough, and everything has caught up with me, so I’m taking some time to look after myself and my family.

Disco balls, sparkly sprinkles, silver leaf, and a mirrored topper, were all used on this one!
